Kanpur: District Magistrate directs departments to deploy staff to improve IGRS rankings

Kanpur District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar has ordered all departments to deploy dedicated staff to improve their IGRS rankings. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the DM conducted a surprise inspection of the Vikas Bhawan on Monday. During his visit, he reviewed the functioning of the DRDA office and emphasized the need for the prompt resolution of public grievances.

Kanpur District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar has issued strict directives aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in administrative operations. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the DM has instructed all relevant departments to deploy dedicated staff in their offices to improve their IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System) rankings. This initiative is intended to make the grievance resolution process more effective.

On Monday, the District Magistrate conducted a surprise inspection of the Vikas Bhawan. He arrived at the facility around 12:20 PM to assess the current operational standards. During the visit, he first inspected the DRDA office, where he closely examined the maintenance of files and the overall workflow.

The DM gave clear instructions to officials that public grievances must be addressed on a priority basis. He emphasized that complaints received on the IGRS portal should be resolved within the stipulated time frame. He warned that any negligence at any level would not be tolerated.

According to administrative sources, the District Magistrate's visit was intended to verify the reality of office operations. He directed officials to ensure adequate staff deployment within their departments to prevent any delays in the resolution of complaints.

During the inspection of Vikas Bhawan, the DM also reviewed the functioning of various sections. He instructed employees to remain sensitive to the problems faced by the public and to show promptness in resolving them.

The surprise inspection by the District Magistrate caused a stir among the departments. He clarified that such reviews would continue in the future to ensure improvements in the administrative system.
