18-year-old Yashi laid to rest in Kanpur's Purvamir village, Raksha Bandhan request remains a final memory

The body of 18-year-old Yashi, who had insisted her brother stay for a few days during Raksha Bandhan, reached her home in Purvamir village after a post-mortem. As her remains arrived on Saturday afternoon, the entire village was plunged into grief. Yashi was laid to rest in the same courtyard where she spent her childhood, leaving her family in deep mourning.

Saturday was a day of profound sorrow for Purvamir village in Kanpur. Yashi, an 18-year-old who had requested her brother to spend more time with her during the recent Raksha Bandhan festival, has passed away. When her body arrived in the village around 2 PM on Saturday following a post-mortem, the atmosphere turned somber.

The news of Yashi's death left the entire village in shock. Her family members are inconsolable, and the memory of her final conversation with her brother has become a source of immense pain. During the festival, she had urged him to stay for a few days during his next visit.

This simple request has now become a haunting final memory for her loved ones. Yashi was laid to rest in the very courtyard where she grew up and played as a child. The sight of the funeral left the villagers unable to hold back their tears.

The entire village remained in mourning throughout the funeral proceedings. According to reports from Amar Ujala, the body was handed over to the family after the completion of the post-mortem examination.

A large number of villagers and relatives gathered to pay their final respects. While many tried to offer comfort to the grieving family, the scale of their loss was overwhelming and difficult to express in words.

A heavy silence hangs over the village following the tragedy. Residents are struggling to come to terms with the fact that the young girl who celebrated Raksha Bandhan just days ago is no longer with them.

Family members described Yashi as a kind and friendly individual. Her presence is now reduced to photographs and the words she shared with her brother. The entire community stands with the family during this incredibly difficult time.
