A team from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UP PCB) conducted a raid on a saccharin factory located in the Jajmau area of Kanpur. According to a report by Amar Ujala, a five-member team inspected the factory premises and collected groundwater samples for testing. The action aims to investigate industrial pollution and compliance with water quality standards.

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UP PCB) has taken significant action in the Jajmau industrial area of Kanpur. A five-member team from the board's headquarters raided a saccharin factory located in the region. The primary objective of this surprise inspection was to verify the factory's compliance with environmental regulations and to assess the status of water pollution.

According to the report by Amar Ujala, the team inspected various locations within the factory premises. During the process, officials collected samples of waste discharge and groundwater from the surrounding area for quality testing. These samples will be sent to a laboratory to determine if the factory is causing groundwater contamination.

Several industrial units operate in the Jajmau area, and complaints regarding pollution are frequently reported. This action by the UP PCB is seen as a step in addressing these concerns. The team also reviewed the factory's records and the operational efficiency of its pollution control equipment.

Officials have clarified that if any violations or disregard for rules are found during the investigation, strict legal action will be taken against the concerned factory. The Pollution Control Board stated that the disposal of industrial waste must strictly adhere to established standards.

Local residents have long expressed concerns about groundwater contamination. This raid has become a major topic of discussion in the area. The team also questioned the factory management and requested necessary documentation.

Only after the investigation report is received will it become clear what action will be taken against the factory. Currently, the results of the collected samples are awaited.

This action demonstrates the board's commitment to ensuring environmental safety in industrial zones. Similar inspections may be conducted in other factories in the future to prevent the contamination of water sources.

The Pollution Control Board team departed from the premises after completing their investigation process. Tight security arrangements were in place during the operation.
