Kanpur: DM conducts surprise inspection at employment office, five employees found absent

A case of administrative strictness has emerged in Kanpur, where District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh utilized a surprise inspection to improve the functioning of government offices. On Wednesday around 2:00 PM, the DM made an unannounced visit to the Regional Employment Office. During this visit, he examined the office operations and verified the attendance of the staff members.

According to a report by Amar Ujala, five senior assistants were not present at their designated workstations during the inspection. The absence of employees without prior notice or official permission was considered a violation of administrative protocols. Taking the situation seriously, the DM issued immediate instructions to initiate disciplinary action against those involved.

This surprise visit by the district's top official caused a stir within the office premises. The DM clarified that any form of negligence in government work would not be tolerated. He further instructed other staff members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain regular attendance.
