During the event, he lit the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' to inspire children toward environmental conservation. The students conveyed messages of responsibility toward nature through paintings and songs.

Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav participated in a special event in New Delhi on the occasion of Seva Diwas. The event was held under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan – Aashirwad Ka Diya', aimed at commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of selfless service to the nation.
On this occasion, the minister engaged in a direct dialogue with school children. The event was attended by Mehrauli MLA Gajendra Yadav and senior ministry officials, including Secretary Tanmay Kumar and Special Secretary Sushil Kumar Awasthi. The primary goal of this initiative was to instill a sense of service in the younger generation and raise awareness about forest and wildlife conservation.
Members of eco-clubs, teachers, and local community members also participated actively in the program. School children presented special songs highlighting the importance of environmental protection. To encourage the children's creativity, an exhibition of paintings made by them was also organized, which the minister personally viewed.
A major highlight of the event was the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya', placed in the center of a large rangoli. This lamp was considered a symbol of knowledge, hope, and environmental responsibility, which the younger generation is expected to carry forward. The minister inspired the children to understand and fulfill their responsibilities toward nature.
This program not only underscores the importance of service but also serves as an effort to prepare the next generation for challenges like climate change. The ministry believes that through children, the message of environmental conservation can be effectively conveyed to every section of society.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants took a pledge to protect nature. Such events not only foster a love for the environment among children but also make them more aware of their duties toward society.
