Did the victory against India become a problem for Pakistan? Former captain Mohammad Yousuf makes a big claim

Former Pakistan cricket captain Mohammad Yousuf has made a surprising comment regarding the team's current crisis. According to a report by Amar Ujala, Yousuf claimed that the 10-wicket victory against India in the 2021 T20 World Cup proved detrimental rather than beneficial for the team.

According to Yousuf, that win instilled a sense of arrogance within the Pakistani players. He stated that after such a significant victory, the team members began to perceive themselves as superior, which led to a decline in their standard of play.

The former captain believes that after that win, the team's focus shifted away from their preparation and the nuances of the game. He indicated that the overconfidence that followed that success proved fatal for their performance.

Yousuf's comment comes amidst ongoing discussions in Pakistan cricket, where questions are being raised about the team's consistently poor performance. He has linked the team's current crisis to this shift in mentality.

However, this statement by Yousuf has become a topic of discussion in the cricketing world. Many consider it a bizarre argument, as a big win is usually expected to boost a team's morale.

The Pakistan cricket team has been struggling at the international level for some time. This analysis by Yousuf could spark a new debate regarding the internal environment of the team and the mindset of the players.

Currently, there has been no official response from other former players or the board on this matter. Yousuf's statement reflects his personal perspective on the team's performance.
