During this operation, the department seized food products worth approximately 56 lakh rupees found on the premises. According to officials, this action was taken following reports of violations regarding food safety standards.
During the inspection, the team discovered several flaws in the vehicles used by the dairy for milk supply. Transporting milk in open vehicles was found to be contrary to safety protocols. Furthermore, the department identified significant irregularities in the food registration of these vehicles, leading to the strict enforcement action.
The department collected several samples of milk, butter, and refined oil from the dairy. These samples have been sealed and dispatched to an authorized laboratory for testing. The final status regarding the quality and potential adulteration of these products will only be clear once the test reports are received.
Officials clarified that campaigns against units failing to adhere to food safety regulations will continue in the future. This raid has caused concern among local dairy operators. The department has instructed the dairy management to complete all necessary documentation and registration processes immediately.
