Gurugram Administration Launches Major Crackdown on Illegal PGs and Guest Houses in Residential Areas

The Gurugram administration has initiated a strict campaign against PGs and guest houses operating in violation of rules within residential areas. During the drive in upscale localities like Sushant Lok and South City, illegal structures were demolished and several rooms were sealed. This administrative action aims to curb unauthorized commercial activities within residential colonies.

The Gurugram administration has launched a comprehensive campaign against PGs and guest houses operating commercially within residential colonies. According to reports from NDTV India, the administration's bulldozer action took place in prominent areas of the city, specifically Sushant Lok and South City. The primary objective of this operation is to identify and penalize residential houses that are being used for commercial purposes in violation of regulations.

Administrative officials arrived at the sites and demolished structures that were built illegally. These residential houses were being used to run PGs and guest houses without proper authorization, causing significant inconvenience to local residents. During the operation, several rooms were sealed to prevent any further commercial activity from taking place on the premises.

Local residents had been complaining for a long time about the increasing number of these illegal commercial establishments within their neighborhoods. Taking these grievances seriously, the administration has taken this firm step. Officials stated that operating such guest houses and PGs in residential zones is a direct violation of established norms.

Under this campaign, the administration has clarified that actions against such establishments operating in defiance of rules will continue in the future. The crackdown in upscale areas like Sushant Lok and South City has caused panic among property owners who have been utilizing their homes for commercial purposes.

Officials have also indicated that similar inspections will be conducted in other parts of the city. If any residential property is found being used for commercial activities, the administration will proceed with demolition or sealing procedures as required.

This action is considered significant not only for removing illegal constructions but also for maintaining the peace and security of residential colonies. The administration has warned all property owners to use their premises strictly for residential purposes only.

Currently, administrative teams remain deployed in the affected areas to monitor the situation. Following this crackdown, local residents have welcomed the administration's move, expressing hope that it will reduce congestion and address security concerns within their residential neighborhoods.
