KT Rama Rao targets Telangana government over electricity and irrigation issues faced by farmers
BRS leader KT Rama Rao has accused the Telangana government of failing to provide adequate electricity to farmers. He stated that contrary to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's claims, farmers are receiving only five to six hours of power daily. Rama Rao also criticized the poor state of irrigation, intensifying the political discourse in the state regarding agricultural challenges.
VIMARSHNAARAD TVIn Telangana, BRS leader KT Rama Rao has launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's administration regarding the plight of farmers and the lack of basic agricultural infrastructure. He alleged that farmers across the state are facing severe power shortages that hinder their farming activities.
According to KT Rama Rao, government officials publicly claim that farmers are being provided with 12 hours of electricity daily. However, he asserted that the ground reality is starkly different, with farmers struggling to receive even five to six hours of power supply.
The BRS leader accused the government of spreading falsehoods and misleading the public. He emphasized that this power deficit has made irrigation a major challenge for farmers, negatively impacting their financial stability and crop yields.
Expressing concern over the state of irrigation, Rama Rao argued that the government's policies are detrimental to the interests of the farming community. He alleged that instead of addressing the core issues in the agricultural sector, the administration is preoccupied with making hollow claims.
This political rhetoric has sparked a fresh controversy in Telangana politics. The allegations leveled by the BRS have cast doubt on the functioning of the state government, escalating tensions between the ruling party and the opposition.
KT Rama Rao has demanded that the government reform its power supply policy and ensure that farmers receive electricity according to their requirements. He warned that if the issues faced by farmers remain unresolved, the BRS will intensify its protests on the matter.
At present, there has been no official response from the state government regarding these accusations, but this attack by the BRS is being viewed as a significant challenge for Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
