Chief selector Ajit Agarkar spotted at Duleep Trophy final after missing BCCI review meeting

Chief selector Ajit Agarkar was spotted at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai during the Duleep Trophy final. This marks his first public appearance following his absence from the recent BCCI review meeting.

Agarkar's presence at the stadium has become a topic of discussion in cricketing circles. Observers are speculating whether he is closely monitoring the performances of players in the Duleep Trophy.

Especially following Ishan Kishan's stellar performance, questions have arisen about whether he could make a comeback to the Indian Test team. Agarkar's presence has further fueled these speculations.

There were various rumors surrounding Agarkar's absence from the previous BCCI meeting, but his appearance at this final match has, for now, quieted those discussions.

According to the sports desk at Amar Ujala, the presence of a selector at a domestic tournament final is considered beneficial for the morale of the players. It provides young talent with a significant platform to showcase their skills.

During the match, Agarkar was seen in a serious demeanor. He appeared to be observing the nuances of the game and was likely evaluating players for future team selections.

There has always been competition for the wicketkeeper-batter role in the Indian Test team. Ishan Kishan's return to form could be a welcome sign for the selectors.

Agarkar's role in the selection of the Indian team will remain crucial in the coming times. This Duleep Trophy final serves as an excellent opportunity for him to observe the players up close.

Cricket fans are now eager to see if Ishan Kishan will soon find a place in the national team. Agarkar's presence is certainly being viewed as a positive sign in this direction.
