Legal action has been initiated against 12 individuals who were allegedly preparing to export expired goods by mislabeling them with new dates.

Upon entering the premises, the investigation team found a significant quantity of food items that had already passed their expiration dates. Members of the syndicate were actively applying new labels to these products, intending to pass them off as fresh and safe for consumption.
Preliminary findings suggest that the group intended to distribute these items not only in local markets but also to international destinations. This activity poses a severe risk to public health, as expired food can be hazardous. Consequently, the police seized the entire stock, which has been valued at 7.52 million rupees.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against 12 individuals involved in the operation. They face charges related to fraud and endangering public health. The Crime Branch is currently working to determine the duration of this illicit activity and identify any broader network connections.
