The Ministry of Culture has centered the latest edition of the 'PM Mementos E-Auction 2026' around the rich cultural and historical heritage of Maharashtra. The collection comprises 89 mementos that offer a comprehensive glimpse into the state's spiritual traditions, indigenous art, and contemporary progress. The auction features sculptures, paintings, religious artifacts, and sports memorabilia.
A major highlight of the collection is the legacy of the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It includes several statues and artworks depicting him in various forms, such as riding a horse or seated on a throne. Additionally, a scale model of the Meghdambari located at Raigad Fort and intricate wood carvings are part of this collection.
Honoring the state's devotional traditions, artworks depicting Saint Tukaram and Saint Dnyaneshwar have been included. Furthermore, the traditional Warli art style has been given prominence. Through Warli designs, rural life, community festivals, and portraits of tribal leader Birsa Munda have been crafted on fabric, showcasing the diversity of this art form.
Highlighting achievements in the sports arena, memorabilia from athletes who represented India at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games are also up for auction. These include a badminton racket signed by para-badminton player Sukant Kadam and a shot-put and carry bag signed by Sachin Khilari.
Models representing the state's infrastructure and development are also part of this auction. These include presentation models of the Vadhvan Port, the Thane-Borivali twin tunnel project, and the Navi Mumbai International Airport. Additionally, items related to great personalities like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Ahilyabai Holkar, and Peshwa Bajirao I are on display.
This e-auction will continue until October 2, 2026. The ministry has clarified that all information regarding the auction process, the catalog, and participation is available on the official portal, pmmementos.gov.in.
