Bareilly: BDA to Use AI Technology to Curb Illegal Construction, Software Development Underway

The Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) will now use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to monitor illegal construction in the city. The BDA Vice-Chairman has issued instructions in this regard. Initially, the technology will be implemented as a pilot project in one of the authority's zones, for which a specialized software is currently being developed.

The Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) has decided to adopt new technology to effectively curb illegal construction. The authority will now use AI-based software to help identify unauthorized construction activities. The BDA Vice-Chairman has issued the necessary instructions regarding this initiative.

According to officials, this technology will make the monitoring of unauthorized constructions in the city more precise. Currently, the authority relies on manual inspections to identify illegal constructions, which consumes significant time and resources. The use of AI is expected to bring transparency and speed to this process.

This initiative will first be implemented as a pilot project. The authority plans to launch it experimentally in one of its zones. If this experiment proves successful, it will be expanded to other parts of the city. Currently, specialized software is being developed for this project.

The software will track changes in construction activities by analyzing satellite imagery or other digital data. This will make it easier for the authority to detect where construction work is taking place without permission. This move will not only help in curbing illegal construction but will also strengthen the city's planned development process.

The BDA believes that this integration of technology will prove to be an important tool for urban planning in the future. Authority officials are closely monitoring the development and implementation of this software to ensure it is deployed as soon as possible.
