Wasim Akram Lashes Out at Babar Azam's Captaincy, Questions Team Changes

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Wasim Akram has raised serious questions regarding the leadership style of current captain Babar Azam. Akram appeared visibly frustrated over the changes made to the team following the tour of England. He directed sharp remarks at Babar's captaincy, expressing his strong disapproval.

Akram questioned whether Babar was truly unaware of the alterations being made to the team. He sarcastically remarked that if the captain does not know what is happening within the squad, then what exactly is his purpose there. This statement by Akram has become a major topic of discussion across social media and the cricketing world.

The former fast bowler clarified that as a captain, it is Babar's responsibility to be informed about every decision concerning the team. He also expressed concern over the apparent lack of coordination between the team management and the captain.

According to Wasim Akram, captaincy in international cricket is not merely about making decisions on the field but also involves playing an active role in team selection and strategic shifts. He has labeled Babar's attitude as irresponsible.

This is not the first time that Babar Azam's captaincy has been questioned, but the direct criticism from a legend like Akram has escalated the matter. This ongoing controversy within Pakistan cricket has left fans feeling disappointed.

Akram also suggested that a lack of clarity in leadership is a major reason for the inconsistency in the team's performance. He has advised Babar to improve his approach to captaincy.

Currently, there has been no official response to these comments from either Babar Azam or the Pakistan Cricket Board. Cricket enthusiasts are now waiting to see how the team is led in the upcoming matches.
