The absence of chief selector Ajit Agarkar from the review meeting held by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday has fueled various speculations in the cricketing world. According to an Amar Ujala report, questions regarding his future and his relationship with the board began to arise immediately after he failed to attend the meeting.

However, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has attempted to put these speculations to rest. He clarified the reasons why Ajit Agarkar could not attend this important meeting.
