Major demolition drive in Meerut: 35 shops and banquet hall razed in Shastri Nagar Central Market

Housing development department officials clarified that all these structures were built without any approved building plans. Due to the violation of regulations, the administration decided to demolish them. While there was some local opposition during the operation, the administration proceeded with the task regardless.
