An LPG tanker overturned into a ditch near Bataroli village in the Dannahar area of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, causing 38 hours of intense panic. For safety reasons, ten petrol pumps and eight schools were closed. Approximately two thousand residents remained in a state of anxiety, and many did not even light their stoves during this period due to the fear of a gas leak.

A major disaster was averted in the Dannahar area of Mainpuri district after an LPG tanker overturned, though the aftermath left local residents in a state of extreme tension. According to reports from the news agency, the tanker, which was traveling from Mathura Refinery to Nepal, went out of control after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

The tanker plunged into a deep ditch along the roadside, creating a significant risk of a gas leak. In response to the situation, the administration immediately implemented precautionary measures. The area surrounding Bataroli village faced the prospect of evacuation, leaving approximately two thousand people spending their nights in distress.

For safety purposes, the administration ordered the closure of ten nearby petrol pumps. Additionally, prioritizing the safety of children, eight schools were declared closed. The entire area remained on high alert throughout the 38-hour rescue operation.

Local residents shared that they did not even light their kitchen stoves due to the fear of a potential gas leak. People were terrified of the possibility of a major accident. Administrative teams continuously monitored the situation to ensure that no major catastrophe occurred.

Technical experts were brought in to extract the tanker safely. During this time, fire brigade vehicles and police forces remained stationed at the site. The administration had appealed to the public to maintain patience.

After 38 hours of strenuous effort, the tanker was successfully removed from the ditch, and the threat of a gas leak was completely neutralized. Only then did the residents breathe a sigh of relief.

This incident serves as a serious warning regarding road safety and the fatigue of drivers operating heavy vehicles. The administration is now investigating whether legal action can be taken against the driver for negligence.
