VIMARSHNAARAD TVThe Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, is preparing to launch 'Special Campaign 6.0' from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The primary objective of this campaign is to maintain cleanliness in offices, ensure proper disposal of e-waste, and enhance workplace efficiency. In this sixth edition of the campaign, special emphasis will be placed on adhering to the guidelines of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
The department also conducted a preparatory phase between September 15 and September 30 to carry out cleanliness activities. The main theme for this year's campaign is the effective collection, segregation, and disposal of e-waste. Additionally, focus will be placed on optimizing office space, disposing of scrap and unnecessary items, and improving record management.
The department has set the achievements of the 'Special Campaign 5.0,' held last year, as a benchmark. During that campaign, over 9.18 lakh rupees in revenue was generated from scrap disposal, and 7,156 square feet of office space was cleared. Furthermore, thousands of physical and e-files were reviewed, which brought transparency and speed to administrative tasks.
Under Special Campaign 6.0, the department has identified several key areas. These include monitoring pending parliamentary assurances, resolving references received from the Prime Minister's Office and state governments, and ensuring the timely resolution of public grievances. The department aims to simplify administrative processes to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and autonomous institutions under the department, such as the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET) and Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL), will actively participate in this campaign. The department believes that these continuous efforts will enable the optimal use of resources and improve citizen-centric services.
Overall, this campaign is in line with the government's vision of clean, efficient, and transparent governance. The department is committed to modernizing its administrative procedures and making the workplace environment more organized.
