Monsoon departure delayed in Varanasi, clouds expected to persist until October 12

The monsoon is expected to face a seven-day delay in its withdrawal from Varanasi. According to weather reports, skies are likely to clear by October 12. The city recorded 25 millimeters of rainfall on Monday, accompanied by winds blowing at 20 kilometers per hour. High humidity levels followed the morning showers, causing discomfort to the residents.

The monsoon season in Varanasi is showing an unusual pattern this year. According to reports from Amar Ujala, the withdrawal of the monsoon is expected to be delayed by seven days. Weather experts suggest that clouds will likely persist until October 12, after which the weather is expected to clear up completely.

The monsoon had also arrived late in the city this year. It reached Kashi on July 1, marking a seven-day delay from its usual schedule. Now, its departure is also running behind the expected timeline, meaning residents will have to deal with monsoon conditions for a few more days.

Monday was a day of rain and humidity. The city recorded a total of 25 millimeters of rainfall. During this period, wind speeds reached 20 kilometers per hour, creating some activity in the weather. However, the half-hour of heavy rain in the morning led to a significant rise in humidity levels.

Due to the increased humidity, people experienced considerable discomfort throughout the day. The sun appearing after the rain further increased the moisture in the atmosphere, affecting daily life. According to information provided by the meteorological department, clouds are expected to continue moving in over the coming days.

Residents of Kashi will now have to wait until October 12. It is only after this date that the monsoon is expected to withdraw completely and the weather is likely to return to normal. Until then, people will need to be prepared for humidity and intermittent rainfall.

The local administration and the meteorological center are continuously monitoring these changes in the weather. The delay in the monsoon could also impact agriculture and daily activities. Currently, the process of the monsoon's withdrawal from the city is moving at a slow pace.
