Shoaib Akhtar targets Pakistan cricket team, raises questions over lack of fighting spirit

The consistently poor performance of the Pakistan cricket team has disappointed former legends. Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has raised serious questions about the team's work ethic and the mental approach of the players. He has explicitly stated that the current team does not display the fighting spirit that is mandatory for international cricket.

According to the Amar Ujala report, Akhtar believes that the players do not appear to be fighting for themselves on the field. He expressed concern over the lack of consistency in the team's performance and their tendency to accept defeat easily.

Akhtar remarked that the history of Pakistan cricket has always been characterized by resilience, but the current team has failed to carry forward this legacy. Referring to the transition phase of the players, he stated that the team needs to change its mindset.

The former bowler also spoke in the context of players like Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Haris Rauf. He indicated that the key players of the team need to take more responsibility so that they can lead the team out of difficult situations.

Shoaib Akhtar's comments come at a time when the Pakistan team has faced defeat in several important matches. Debates regarding team selection and strategy have already been ongoing among fans and experts.

Akhtar believes that skill alone is not enough; showing passion on the field is equally important. He advised the players to improve their fitness and dedication toward the game.

Due to the team's poor performance, pressure is also mounting on the Pakistan Cricket Board and the selectors. Akhtar's criticism is being viewed as a reality check for the team management.

In conclusion, Shoaib Akhtar expressed hope that the players would learn from their mistakes and perform better in the future. He stated that there is no lack of talent in Pakistan cricket, but it requires the right direction and passion.
