The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has signed an MoU with the Ramakrishna Mission. The initiative aims to strengthen emotional bonds between children, parents, and grandparents through the school system. It will be implemented in 200 pilot schools across the country.

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission in New Delhi. The primary objective of this partnership is to further strengthen the bonds between three generations.
This is a nationwide initiative aimed at deepening emotional and cultural connections between children, their parents, and grandparents through the school system. Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar and Minister of State Shri B.L. Verma, along with several senior officials, were present on the occasion.
Union Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar stated that families are the foundation of society. He emphasized that the country moves forward only when every generation moves together. He described this collaboration as being in line with the spirit of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
Minister of State Shri B.L. Verma said that the government is committed to strengthening family relationships. He expressed hope that this model would bring generations closer to each other through schools.
Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, Swami Sarvalokananda, said that the mission believes in service through education and character building. He appreciated this effort to connect families with the wisdom of the elderly.
Under this MoU, research will be conducted on intergenerational challenges faced by modern families in 50 representative schools across four regions of the country. Additionally, 20 'co-learning knowledge acquisition games' will be designed and implemented in 200 pilot schools.
A bilingual resource website and certificate training programs for teachers will also be launched. The initiative will be evaluated through an independent study to facilitate its large-scale implementation.
This initiative is part of the ministry's 'Atal Vayo Abhyudaya Yojana'. Its goal is to pass on the experience of the elderly to the next generation and make children feel culturally secure. The Ramakrishna Mission will act as the primary implementation partner for this initiative.
