A special exhibition has been inaugurated at the Central Cottage Industries Emporium, located at Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan on Janpath, New Delhi. Titled 'Designer Atelier', this exhibition-cum-sale is scheduled to run from September 12 until October 1, 2026. The primary objective of the event is to bring India's rich textile traditions and modern fashion designs onto a single platform.

The exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Akhilesh Kumar, Deputy Director General (Textiles) at the Ministry of Textiles, and Bimal Gopalachari, Managing Director of the Central Cottage Industries Corporation. Several senior officials and dignitaries were present at the event. Following the inauguration, the exhibition was opened for the general public.

Authentic handloom products crafted by artisans and weavers from across the country are on display at the venue. The collection features a unique blend of intricate weaving, traditional prints, and modern silhouettes. This event is intended not only for fashion enthusiasts but also for those who appreciate the depth of Indian craftsmanship.

According to the organizers, the platform aims to promote the nation's cultural heritage. Furthermore, it provides a robust medium for weavers to reach consumers directly. This initiative is expected to help artisans receive fair value for their work.

With the upcoming festive and wedding season in mind, the exhibition offers an excellent opportunity for shoppers. Visitors can explore and purchase a wide range of exclusive Indian textiles and handcrafted fashion. The event also serves as an effort to provide economic support to local craft communities.

The exhibition remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Those interested in witnessing the confluence of Indian textile heritage and contemporary design are encouraged to visit the emporium during these hours.
