Palghar hospital assault case: Bombay High Court expresses displeasure over police action, summons SP

The Bombay High Court has expressed strong disapproval regarding the police's slow response to the assault case at a Palghar hospital. The court is particularly concerned that nine suspects remain at large. Consequently, the court has summoned the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Palghar to appear in person and provide an explanation for the delay in the investigation.

The Bombay High Court has adopted a strict stance regarding the assault incident that took place at a hospital in Palghar. According to reports from NDTV India, the court has raised serious questions about the police's investigation process. A primary concern for the court is that nine suspects remain at large despite a significant amount of time having passed since the incident.

During the hearing, the court expressed dissatisfaction with the police's methodology. The judges emphasized that violence occurring in sensitive locations like hospitals cannot be treated lightly. The court reprimanded the police for the delay in apprehending the absconding suspects.

To ensure accountability, the Bombay High Court has summoned the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Palghar to appear before the court. The SP is required to be present in person to explain why the suspects have not been arrested yet and what obstacles are hindering the investigation.

The assault at the hospital has also raised questions regarding the safety of medical facilities and staff. The court has requested details from the police on the measures being taken to prevent such incidents in the future.

Legal experts suggest that this stance by the High Court serves as a message for the police to remain more vigilant regarding their responsibilities. Arresting the absconding suspects has now become a major challenge for the police force.

During the next hearing, the SP will have to present their side before the court. This directive from the court serves as a stern message to the police department that any negligence in matters of law and order will not be tolerated.

Currently, there is significant pressure on the Palghar police to apprehend the suspects as quickly as possible. Further action in this case will depend on the court's upcoming orders.
