Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an international conference on 'The Future of Environment and Climate Dynamics' at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. In his address, he highlighted the connection between ancient cultural wisdom and modern climate solutions. The Prime Minister praised the National Green Tribunal and stated that India is currently providing effective solutions to global climate challenges.

Addressing global perceptions regarding carbon emissions, the Prime Minister clarified that developing nations are often unfairly blamed. He noted that historically, India's per capita carbon emission remains less than half of the global average. He emphasized the importance of using international platforms to showcase India's traditional environmental capabilities.

Reflecting on India's progress over the last 12 years, the Prime Minister underscored the strategic shifts in the renewable energy sector. He stated that India is the only G-20 country to have fulfilled its COP-21 summit commitments ahead of schedule. The growth of solar energy capacity from 2 gigawatts to over 160 gigawatts serves as a testament to this achievement.

Referring to the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, he mentioned that over 5 million households have been connected to solar power. Additionally, 3 million farmers have received solar pumps through the Kusum scheme. He also provided details on significant expansions in wind energy, hydropower, and nuclear power generation.

Discussing the transformation in the transport sector, the Prime Minister announced the launch of the country's first hydrogen train. He highlighted a 950-fold increase in electric vehicle sales and the expansion of metro networks. He noted that the electrification of railways and the implementation of dedicated freight corridors have significantly reduced diesel consumption.

In the realm of water conservation, he cited the 'Catch the Rain' campaign and the construction of Amrit Sarovars as major examples of public participation. He also described the promotion of natural farming and the increased production of millets (Shree Anna) as climate-resilient initiatives.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister praised the 'Waste to Wealth' model and the Gobardhan scheme for tackling plastic pollution. He asserted that India's development is both rapid and sustainable. He expressed confidence that the conference would yield innovative solutions for environmental protection.
