Prime Minister Modi Launches 100-Week Nationwide Campaign for a Drug-Free India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the 'Nasha Mukt Yuva Sankalp Abhiyan' for a developed India. The objective of this 100-week public participation program is to keep youth away from drugs and make them healthy and empowered. The Prime Minister has called upon the youth of the country to join this campaign to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently formally launched the 'Nasha Mukt Yuva Sankalp Abhiyan' for a developed India. During the inauguration of this nationwide program, the Prime Minister addressed over one crore youth connected from more than 28,000 locations. He termed this initiative a significant collective resolve for the country's future.

The Prime Minister clarified that this campaign is not limited to individual health but is linked to the overall strength of the family, society, and the nation. He stated that for the dream of a developed India to be realized, it is essential for the young generation to be physically and mentally healthy. He advised the youth to stay away from the destructive habits of drug addiction.

This campaign was started as a pilot project in Kashi last year. It has now been expanded to the national level, involving the support of over 125 spiritual and non-governmental organizations. Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya stated that this mission will be taken forward through the 'My Youth India' (MY Bharat) platform.

Under the 100-week action plan of the campaign, activities related to art, sports, culture, and meditation will be organized every Sunday. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the coming 100 Sundays will prove to be 100 strong steps toward a drug-free India. He described the energy and talent of the youth as invaluable for the country's development.

Expressing concern over the ill effects of drugs, the Prime Minister said that this addiction not only ruins an individual's career but also puts families in deep crisis. He encouraged the youth to focus on their achievements in fields like startups, space, and AI.

The government has emphasized the importance of comprehensive support systems for de-addiction, such as yoga, meditation, and rehabilitation centers. The Prime Minister also appealed to teachers to make anti-drug discussions a part of the curriculum in academic campuses. Describing youth who quit drugs as 'true warriors,' he urged society to give them respect.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister mentioned the government's strict action against drug traffickers. He assured the youth that the government stands firmly with them in this fight. He expressed hope that the country's youth will protect their energy and take the resolve of a developed India to new heights.
