President Droupadi Murmu addressed the valedictory session of the two-day international conference organized by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in New Delhi. Centered on the theme 'The Future of Environment and Climate Mobility,' the President lauded the NGT's role in bolstering environmental governance. She emphasized the importance of integrating traditional knowledge and community-centric approaches to enhance climate resilience.

Union Minister Manohar Lal highlighted India's achievements, noting that the nation has surpassed its non-fossil fuel energy targets five years ahead of schedule. He reiterated the government's commitment to sustainable urban development and green mobility. Justice B.V. Nagarathna of the Supreme Court stressed the necessity of maintaining a balance between development and conservation.

NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Srivastava stated that the discussions aimed to move beyond identifying challenges toward developing effective legal and institutional frameworks. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta described environmental protection as a prerequisite for sustainable progress. During the event, a souvenir titled 'Harit Nyayam' was also released.

The two-day conference brought together jurists, scientists, and policymakers from 17 countries. Technical sessions focused on critical issues such as transboundary environmental challenges, forest conservation, and scientific monitoring. The event concluded with a collective resolve to foster continuous international cooperation and implement concrete actions for a resilient and equitable future.
